Kimchi Fried Rice is one of the most popular Korean dishes and one of my favorites as well. It's subtlety spicy, but also sweet. It's perfect for lunch or dinner and a way how people in Korean households use up leftover ingredients such as rice and kimchi. It may not be as nutritious, but it's quite cheap and perfect if you're living on a tight budget.

What you will need:

  • 3 cups steamed rice

  • 1 cup kimchi (chopped)

  • ¼ cup kimchi juice

  • ¼ cup water

  • 2-3 tablespoons gochujang paste

  • 3 teaspoons sesame oil

  • 1 teaspoon vegetable oil

  • 1 green onion (chopped)

  • 1 tablespoon roasted sesame seeds

I used my own homemade kimchi, because I always go for best quality and freshness!

If you want to make your own kimchi check out my recipe here:

Always taste your rice to know if you added enough Gochujang paste!
